Spa

Your skin is incredibly important to your overall health.  It is the largest organ of your body, covering about 20 square feet. It’s your first line of defense against pathogens and the elements, helps regulate body temperature, and permits the sensations of touch, heat, and cold.

Your skin is also an organ of elimination.  Along with the liver, kidneys, lungs, lymphatic system, colon, and blood, the skin works to remove built up toxins and waste from your system, maintaining optimal health. In order for the process to work efficiently, proper care must be taken to ensure that the skin is healthy and uncongested.

Because it is porous, what you put ON your skin often means you are putting it IN your body.  Depending upon the size of the molecules, the duration of contact, and the actual location, anywhere from 67% to 100% of a substance will be absorbed.  So it is critical that the products you put on your skin be the purest ingredients available.

Finally, your skin is the covering you present to the world.  Glowing, supple skin is a sign of well-being.  Taking care of it – drinking plenty of pure water, eating nutritious and natural food, and enjoying regular skin treatments by a licensed professional using quality products – is an investment in your health.

It sounds cliché to say your skin is glowing, but after a spa treatment at PEMC, I always get compliments. My skin has never been clearer!
